Strays get more time

COULD this purr-fect little face help brighten your day? Peninsula RSPCA Animal Shelter in Pearcedale is extending its adoption hours until March next year to help busy families wishing to take home a new family member.

The Robinsons Rd shelter’s Twilight Adoption will be open every Wednesday and Thursday until 7.3Opm.

The RSPCA’s Maree Crabtree said it would help cater to working families.

“Some people work from 9 to 5 and can’t get in on the weekends, so this gives them a better chance to come in and find their new best friend,” Ms Crabtree said.

“All the animals are health and temperament tested, vaccinated, wormed, desexed and micro-chipped and we will be here to give you expert advice on choosing the right pet.” Ms Crabtree said the Pearcedale shelter had many breeds of dogs, cats and other animals looking for a place to call home. “The older ones make great pets because they have gone through the hard yards of training and long for companionship again.”
